TXP
The Touchscreen Executive Phone (TXP) is a touchscreen-driven telephone that allows the user access
to all Raytheon digital switch resources from a single instrument. This consolidation, when combined with the TXP’s
simplified user interface, eliminates the need for the user to have to remember the particular
operational nuances of multiple communication devices. A built-in speakerphone allows for hands-free operation.
The TXP serves as the user interface to Raytheon digital switching systems and is designed to connect
to switches of the Secure Digital Switch (SDS) family via the Quad Telephone Interface (QTI) and to
switches of the Digital Small Switch (DSS) family via the Summing Telephone Interface (STI) or Dual
Narrowband Interface (DNI) with an Octal Universal Digital Loop Transceiver (UDLT) interface
(OUI) daughterboard. The TXP is supported through the multiple subscriber adapters, such as the
Multi-Function Digital Adapter (MDA) or the UDLT Multiplexer-III (UMUX-III).
The TXP can be configured with a companion unit, the TXP Line Expansion (TLE) unit, that provides
additional line keys for the TXP.
